Navigant Credit Union (Navigant CU) is Rhode Island's largest credit union with almost $2 billion under asset management. A true community driven institution, Navigant has been in business for over 100 years. It's members are proud to bank with them and Navigant's management team is acutely focused on servicing the community through innovative products, excellent branch service, and cutting edge tech.

The Need

Navigant was looking for a modern way to manage its online presence to stay competitive and respond quickly to its members needs. One of the key goals for the marketing team was to ensure a consistent member experience, whether in-branch, at the call center, or online.

The Solution

Scandia has been a trusted vendor to Navigant for over 6 years. Initially, we partnered with a local advertising agency to design the new website on the Umbraco content management platform. Scandia has also taken on the design, development, and maintenance of the Intranet that is used across Navigant's 15 branches and the main office. This serves as an internal communication tool for employees, front-office representatives, and administrators to ensure quality service and a unified member experience.

Some of the highlights of this build were starts to our financial services suite of products.

  • Rate Manager - provides a centralized and auditable rate manager to display rates in tables but also as call outs in various portions of the site for advertising opportunities.
  • Audit Trail Reports - having an auditor come in used to be a headache. With our audit trail it's as easy as specifying what parts of the website you want to run a report on and what date range. It even comes with approver initials and a side-by-side comparison of the content changes.
  • SpeedBump - easily trigger a centrally managed speed-bump message on any link, button, or image within the website.

In addition to providing tools for the corporate website, Scandia was also engaged to build the Intranet that is used by all employees of the credit union. Some of the key components that make communication internally really easy, include:

  • Document Management - each department can manage and release documents related to policies and procedures, security, and human resource management. All permission based.
  • Active Directory Single Sign-on - no need to sign in to see your personalized content.
  • "The Wall" - Facebook is not allowed on internal networks, so we build our own. This allows employees to post, comment, add images and reactions, and much more.
    Calendar - shares all of the pertinent company-wide and department-specific events that everyone should be aware of.
